We believe, teach, and confess that the Bible is God's Word. 2 Timothy 3:16, "All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right." Since the Bible is God's Word, it is without error, completely true as a whole and in all its parts.

We believe, teach, and confess that the teaching and preaching of God’s Word is the main task of the Church, to be conducted in such a way that believers are built up and unbelievers see their need for salvation.

We believe, teach, and confess that the administration of the sacraments (the Lord's Supper & Baptism) are God's means of grace for His Church and should be administered rightly. At Gloria Dei, we practice infant baptism and admittance to the Lord's Supper for all baptized and confirmed believers.

We believe, teach, and confess that the congregation is the right form of the Kingdom of God on earth, with no authority above it but the Word of God and the Spirit of God.

We believe, teach, and confess that Christians are called to be salt and light, separated from the ways of the world, and that this difference is to be reflected in the life of the congregation as well as in the institutions of the church body.

We accept the ancient statements of faith – namely, the Apostle’s, the Nicene, and the Athanasian Creeds; Luther’s Small Catechism; and the Unaltered Augsburg Confessions – as the true expression of the Christian faith and life.
